It's Win, Win!

Learn photography like a professional, from professionals, and see beautiful and amazing new places at the same time.  Not only that, come back with amazing photographs of everything you see.

What You Will Do

The photo group meets the morning of the photo excursion date, at the determined location.  Photo-Excursions will notify you of the location well in advance of the shoot date.

Our instructors will hold a brief training overview and "get to know" session to assess the relative skill level of our attendees, so as to better tailor our days events. You can also include a brief history of your photography background on your sign-up form.

Finally, we will embark on the tour, moving at just the right pace for everyone to photograph what they please, and still be permitted to ask questions and receive one-to-one attention.

What You Will See

Our Winthrop excursion, as the PDF illustrates is a beautiful seaside town hidden behind Boston, that few people-even locals, have explored.  You will have a chance to photograph incredible ocean/beach scenery, with the city of Boston in the not too distant background; as well as tons of foliage, wild flowers and very interesting architecture.  Additionally, for those interested in portraiture and people pictures, we will have short sessions on how best to take outdoor and scenic portraits.

For this excursion, you will see the very unique "Deer Island" as well as vistas of the Boston skyline, with the famous Winthrop Yacht Club in the foreground.  On a clear day you will see most all the "Harbor Islands," lighthouses and many large ships passing past Deer Island throughout the day.

What You Will Learn

Every student will be exposed to the fundamentals of basic photography, composition, lighting, theory and technique, to name a few.  Each student will be allowed to pursue his or her particular photographic proclivity, as much as possible.  Our instructors have an incredibly diverse photographic history, and a vast array of experience to help our students with their particular interests in photography.  At the end of the day we have a nice surprise in store for our students, that has to do with a cursory overview of the best photographic workflow around, for professionals or amateurs.
